Meet the Benchmark Intelli-Series Ticket Dispenser

The Benchmark INTELLI-SERIES TICKET DISPENSER offers powerful functionality that sets it apart from other ticket dispensers. It has a CPU like a computer and it can think like a computer. It has sensors that feed information to the CPU to let it know how many tickets are being sent out. It knows when one side runs out of tickets and switches to the other side automatically. When it detects a ticket jam it will back up and try to clear it. If the jam can't be cleared it will move to the other side. If that side is empty the dispenser will stop and the game will display an error message to notify staff.

The dispenser also has a memory that is used on some of the newer games. It is used to remember the number of tickets owed. In this case each dispenser has an address which is set by the little dip switches on the circuit board on the bottom of the dispenser. There is a small black two-pin connector on the side of the circuit board. This is the communications connecter. It plugs into the RS485 bus which is a two-wire system that connects the other circuit boards to the main board. This is how the main board sends and receives information from the other circuit boards like the ticket dispenser.
